Obama’s Version of Regulatory Reform

In President Obama’s Wall Street Journal op-ed yesterday, he identified CAFE fuel-efficiency standards as the model of good regulation. Competitive Enterprise Institute President and Founder Fred Smith comments that auto companies who once supported these rules are finding out how much they really cost.
CAFE standards have also resulted in increased fatalities from car crashes.
